Adobe Windows Troubleshooting

It appears some people are having issues installing flash with windows internet explorer. We have been researching this issue but there is very little to be had on the net to solve the problem.

For Windows XP users having difficulties installing Flash Player 9, please follow these steps…

  • One solution is to install flash using the Firefox browser. If you do not already have Firefox installed and don't mind installing it - it's actually a much more reliable browser than Internet Explorer - please follow this link...
    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
  • Once you have downloaded and installed firefox, open it up and visit this link to download flash...
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
  • Once you have downloaded and installed flash, please try viewing our videos on Firefox.

If you prefer to stay with Windows Internet Explorer, the following steps have often proved successful, yet not guaranteed for all systems...

Uninstalling the older version of Flash first is often successful. To do so, please follow these steps...

  1. Click Start in bottom left hand corner.
  2. Choose Control Panel
  3. Switch to classic view
  4. Choose programs to uninstall
  5. Look for adobe flash player or macromedia flash player – there may be a few including active X and plugin. Click to highlight each of them and uninstall all of them one at a time. Once complete, reboot your computer.
  6. Once your computer has rebooted, go to the following link…
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
  7. Download the flash player from the link. Replace any previous downloads if asked.
  8. Once downloaded, click open, then install. Please close all browsers and proceed with the installation as prompted. Once installation is complete, it is suggested that you reboot your computer. Once rebooted, you will be able to enjoy our wide selection and always growing library of yoga and health & wellness videos.

If the above does not work and you still prefer to work with Internet Explorer, another step is as follows...

Please ensure that both the "Download Signed ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" options are set to "Prompt".

To change your security level:

  • 1. Open Internet Explorer.
  • 2. Choose Tools > Internet Options.
  • 3. Select the Security tab.
  • 4. Select Custom Level.
  • 5. Find the section "ActiveX controls and plug-ins".
  • 6. Set ' Download Signed ActiveX Controls' to Prompt.
  • 7. Set 'Run ActiveX Controls And Plug-ins' to Prompt.

If you are having trouble installing, make sure that your Internet Explorer security level is not set to High or to a custom level that does not allow viewing of ActiveX controls.

Once you have completed the above steps, please try reinstalling the Flash Player.

My screen saver keeps interrupting my workout. How do I disable it?

On most Windows systems you can right-click anywhere on the desktop, click on "Properties," then click on the "Screen Saver" tab at the top of the dialog box.

From there you can disable your screen saver or adjust the settings so it will not come on for over an hour.

For most Mac systems, go to the Apple icon and click "System Preferences". Under "Hardware", click "Energy Saver". Then set the computer and display to sleep after 1.5 hours or more, or choose "Never".

Can I view the workouts full screen?

YES! To view your practices full screen just click the full screen symbol in the bottom right of the video player. Press esc button to come out of full screen.
